Guiding you through common questions
What is the typical lifespan of an LED display screen, and does it degrade over time?
The average lifespan of a high-quality LED display is between 80,000 to 100,000 hours, which translates to over 9 years of 24/7 operation. However, like all electronic components, the brightness will gradually decrease over time—this is normal and called “luminous decay.” To maximize longevity, we recommend operating the screen at 70-80% brightness for indoor use and ensuring the ventilation system is working properly to prevent overheating. Most of our screens are designed so that individual modules can be easily replaced, giving the overall display a longer effective service life than traditional screens.
How do I determine the right pixel pitch (P2, P3, P4, etc.) for my project?
Pixel pitch (the distance in millimeters between two adjacent LEDs) determines your screen’s optimal viewing distance. A smaller pitch (e.g., P2.5) provides higher resolution and is ideal for indoor spaces where viewers stand less than 3 meters away, such as conference rooms or retail stores. A larger pitch (e.g., P8 or P10) is better for outdoor billboards or stadiums where the audience is 10+ meters away, as the human eye cannot distinguish individual pixels at that distance. As a rule of thumb: Viewing Distance (in meters) = Pixel Pitch (in mm) x 2. For example, a P5 screen is best viewed from about 10 meters away.
Are your LED displays waterproof and suitable for full outdoor use?
Yes, we offer different protection ratings for different environments. Our indoor screens are rated at IP20 (not waterproof). For outdoor installations, we provide fully weatherproof cabinets rated at IP65 (dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction) and IP54 (splash-proof). Every outdoor screen we ship undergoes a 24-hour water spray test and a salt-spray test to ensure it can withstand rain, humidity, and even coastal climates. However, please note that even IP65 screens should not be submerged in water.
What is the average power consumption, and will it cause high electricity bills?
We understand energy costs are a major concern. Our LED displays use energy-efficient driver ICs and high-brightness, low-voltage LEDs. On average, a full-color screen consumes about 200–350 watts per square meter at maximum brightness, but this drops to under 100W per square meter when running standard video content (which is usually 30-50% white). We also offer auto-brightness sensors that adjust the screen’s output based on ambient sunlight, which can reduce your total electricity consumption by up to 40% compared to fixed-brightness screens.
How difficult is the installation process? Do you provide technical support?
We provide comprehensive installation support at every stage. For smaller screens (under 10 sqm), we offer a detailed step-by-step video manual and pre-assembled mounting frames that make it straightforward for your local AV team. For large or complex projects (curved, hanging, or floor-mounted), we can send our engineers for on-site supervision or recommend certified local installation partners. Crucially, all our cabinets come with pre-calibrated color and brightness settings, so once you connect the power and signal cables, the screen works out-of-the-box with minimal on-site tuning.
What is your warranty policy and after-sales service?
We offer a standard 3-year comprehensive warranty covering manufacturing defects in LEDs, power supplies, and control systems. During this period, if any module fails, we ship a replacement unit for free—no need to send the entire screen back. Beyond warranty, we maintain a long-term stock of spare parts (at least 5 years) for every model we sell. Our after-sales team includes dedicated support engineers available via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours, and we provide remote diagnostics via TeamViewer to troubleshoot software or control system issues instantly.
